Every instrument has a unique life, a history. But with time and use come wear and change that call for reconditioning. Like its owner, every instrument has a personality that will shine through with the right care. After our one-on-one appointment, I will set up your instrument so that it brings out the very best in you.

Let’s get started: Contact Me

In every musician’s relationship with his/her instrument, there are ups and downs. The downs occur when instruments are involved in accidents or routine breaks that call for careful and expert repair. I can get your instrument playing for you as good as new, or better.

Maybe you are ready to take an instrument you already know and love to the next level. I offer a range of services to upgrade your instrument’s hardware or electronics to improve or customize its sound based on your unique needs and preferences.

About Me

My name is Andrew. I’m a local luthier who graduated from Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in 2009. Over the past five years, I’ve worked for Precision Guitar as a master technician, studied under Michael Collins (gypsy jazz guitar builder extraordinaire), and then taught gypsy jazz lutherie and french polishing courses locally at the old Roberto-Venn campus. Currently, I operate Phoenix Fret Works from my home, build gypsy jazz guitars for Michael Collins guitars, and continue to teach French Polishing courses.
